Policies

A deposit of $50 is required to hold an appointment. This deposit is applied to your session cost or is refundable should you need to cancel and comply with the cancelation policy.

We understand that circumstances can change unexpectedly, and we want to provide our clients with a hassle-free experience for scheduling a portrait session with us:

We kindly request that you provide us with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice prior to your scheduled appointment if you wish to cancel or reschedule

  • The deposit is forfeited for cancelations under 48 hours

  • Last-minute reschedule requests (under 48 hours) are treated the same as last-minute cancelations since they result in the same loss of rebooking availability.

  • To reschedule, you will be required to make a new deposit

We genuinely appreciate your understanding and cooperation with our policies. By adhering to these guidelines, we can ensure that our services remain accessible and enjoyable for all of our clients. We look forward to serving you and providing a fun and unforgettable experience.

What to bring along for your shoot

Wear whatever feels good! If you’re undecided about what to wear, feel free to bring along a change of wardrobe. We recommend clothing colors in the medium-tone range. Try to avoid wearing white or black and bear in mind that colors like blues' and violets turn white, while reds and oranges/yellows turn black. Prints, patterns and textures all look great and props are fun, too!

Attention eyeglass wearers

It is advisable to avoid wearing eyeglasses during the collodion process, as they can block essential UV light. Most glasses come with a UV coating, which can result in them appearing dark in the photograph. Transition lenses may give the impression of sunglasses. If possible, we recommend opting for frames without lenses or going without them entirely.

What to expect

Our goal is your good time! We want you to relax, have fun and not worry if the first exposure isn’t perfect.

Our first shot will help us refine the lighting and composition. Ultimately, we’ll take 2-3 shots, complete or “fix” them and let you pick your favorite. If you’d like to also go home with your 2nd and 3rd choices, they can be purchased at a discount.

All plates need to be thoroughly washed, dried, and varnished to be complete. You’re more than welcome to stop back after a few hours or we can mail them to you the following day.
